Do you have a weekly pay schedule? Perhaps you prefer to budget for your grocery run each week? Or maybe you’re trying to cut back your morning drive-thru spending to $10 a week (some mornings you just need a caramel macchiato, right)? Weekly targets are here to help!
With a Weekly Target, you can spend up to the total target amount that without being prompted to assign more, and the total target amount will adjust depending on what day of the week you would like to have the target met by, and how many of those days are in the month.
A Weekly Target can be set from the Needed For Spending target option, and you can even choose which day you would like your week to rollover.
With the category selected, you’ll see your target progress to the right of your budget, broken into the number of weeks in the current month.
You’ll notice that even if you’ve assigned enough to meet your weekly target amount, the progress will still show as yellow; underfunded.
This is because the weekly target will continue to prompt you to budget until all weeks in the month are funded.
The number of weeks, and how much you’re asked to budget for the full month, will change based on how many times the selected day of the week occurs in the given month.
